No more paper timesheets
Tracking clock-ins and clock-outs on paper or in an Excel spreadsheet is time-consuming, error-prone and makes end-of-month calculations a headache. On top of that, the Portuguese Labour Code (art. 202) requires companies to keep a record of working hours, including the start and end of each period and breaks, and to retain it for five years.
Our Time Clock handles all of this simply and efficiently. Employees clock in within seconds, and the company monitors everything in one place.
How it works
The platform has three parts, working together:
- Tablet kiosk, at the company entrance, where the team clocks in with a PIN.
- Personal area on the phone, where each employee checks their hours and submits requests.
- Management area, where the manager monitors the team, handles requests and generates reports.
Kiosk: clock in within seconds
- The employee enters their PIN and selects clock-in, clock-out, break start or break end.
- Each punch can capture a photo and location, to prevent someone from clocking in on behalf of another.
- Only tablets authorised by the company can accept punches.
- Works offline: if the connection drops, punches are stored on the tablet and sent when the connection is restored.
- Under "My hours", employees can view their hours for the day, week and month.
Personal area: everything on the employee's phone
- Clock in from the phone, if the company allows it, only within the defined radius of the workplace.
- Request holidays and check the balance of available days.
- Justify absences, with a photo or PDF of the supporting document.
- Request a correction for a missed or incorrect punch.
- Confirm overtime hours.
It installs on the home screen like an app, with your company's logo.
Management: your team at a glance
- Real-time dashboard: who is working, on a break, yet to arrive or already left, plus a presence chart throughout the day.
- Pending tasks: missing clock-ins, records without a clock-out and pending requests, all in one place.
- Requests: approve or decline holiday, absence and correction requests with one click, with a notification sent to the employee.
- Absences: monthly team calendar and holiday balances per employee.
- Automatic national public holidays, including moveable ones, plus optional local municipal holidays.
- Multiple locations and departments, each with its own address and radius.
- Full employee profile: personal details, contacts, contract, schedule and access permissions.
Ready-made PDF and Excel reports
- Daily record per employee, with clock-in, clock-out, breaks, hours worked, scheduled hours and balance.
- Weekly subtotals and period totals.
- Location of each clock-in and clock-out, with a direct link to Google Maps.
- Team summary, filtered by location or department.
- No punch is ever deleted: every correction is logged in the audit trail, with the reason and who made it.
Overtime with no surprises
The system automatically detects work performed outside scheduled hours and organises the records required under art. 231 of the Portuguese Labour Code:
- grounds for the overtime;
- compensatory rest;
- confirmation by the employee, who can also dispute the hours;
- full history of all changes.
Privacy first
- Punch photos are automatically deleted after the retention period you define.
- Location is only used when the company enables it.
- Data is hosted in Portugal.
