The client
Viveiros da Bairrada is a nursery specialising in the production and sale of certified vine cuttings, rootstocks and olive trees, located in Mealhada, in the heart of the Bairrada region. Their offer spans red and white grape varieties, table grapes, and olive trees for oil and curing — serving viticulturists, growers and private buyers throughout Portugal.
The challenge
The client needed a digital presence capable of organising a diverse and technically demanding catalogue, where each vine cutting or olive tree variety requires specific information about yield, characteristics and intended use. The challenge was to present this range clearly to an audience that values agronomic precision, while also supporting direct online sales with nationwide delivery.
The solution
ID Digital developed a website that reflects the nature of Viveiros da Bairrada's business, with a sober identity rooted in the agricultural character of the Bairrada region. The catalogue was structured by product families — separating olive trees (for oil and curing) and vine cuttings (rootstocks, red varieties, white varieties and table grapes) — so that visitors can quickly find what they are looking for.
- Catalogue structure with detailed product pages, including technical descriptions covering yield, vigour and suitability of each variety.
- Shopping features including cart, wishlist and product comparison, supporting delivery across the whole of Portugal.
- Multilingual and multi-currency support, along with a customer account area for registration and authentication.
- Mobile-responsive design, ensuring comfortable browsing of the catalogue on screens of any size.
The project also included content organisation to improve search engine visibility and strengthen the nursery's local presence in Mealhada. Catalogue management was set up so that the nursery's own team can independently update products, availability and descriptions at any time.
The result
Viveiros da Bairrada now has a website that presents their catalogue in a structured way and enables direct sales to customers across the country. Category-based navigation makes it easy for visitors to find what they need, while full content management autonomy ensures that technical information stays up to date without relying on external support. The result is a digital presence that better reflects the scale and specialisation of the business.
