The client
Motog Machines, Unipessoal Lda, based in Branca, Albergaria-a-Velha, is a company operating since January 2017 that sells machinery and equipment for gardening, forestry and agriculture. With a strong professional focus, it carries leading industry brands such as STIHL, ECHO, Kawasaki, Weibang, Segway, EGO and Blue Bird.
The challenge
André needed an online store capable of presenting a wide and diverse catalogue — from accessories costing just a few euros to professional equipment above 4.000 € — without sacrificing clarity. The challenge was to organise machinery, consumables, parts, oils, protective gear, tools and irrigation in a navigable way, while conveying a positioning built on quality, durability and brand warranties.
The solution
ID Digital built the store on PrestaShop, structuring the catalogue into seven main categories in the primary navigation: Machines, Consumables, Vehicle Parts, Oils/Lubricants, Protective Gear, Tools/Equipment and Irrigation. Each product includes a detailed page with technical specifications — power ratings, cutting dimensions, engine displacement, battery range and warranty terms — essential for an audience that compares equipment before making a decision.
- Shopping experience: quick product previews, direct add-to-cart, wishlists and a product comparison tool.
- Commercial highlights: banners featuring anchor products, such as the Segway Navimow robot mower "from 1.099,00 €" and a dedicated new arrivals section.
- Checkout: a streamlined order process with a cart that displays the total including VAT and an itemised tax breakdown.
- Management: the PrestaShop back office lets the client independently manage stock, categories, prices and orders, as well as link consumables to their corresponding machines.
The result
Motog Store now has an online showcase covering its entire range, from affordable consumables to high-end professional equipment, with comprehensive product pages that support purchasing decisions. The seven-category structure, together with the wishlist and comparison tools, makes it easy to navigate an extensive catalogue, while PrestaShop management gives the client direct control over the business. The store allows Motog to reach both private and professional customers beyond its local area — something the physical shop alone could never achieve.
